Future design improvement- less room for fry, more room for moms. I put three pregnant females in the box immediately. Not sure why some people are complaining the the separating tray floats. I popped this together in a minute and it was in the tank in another minute. We picked this up to use as a secondary QT box for our reef tank. I got the medium and it's mostly the width of a 10 gallon tank. I feel like this breeder box is sturdier than some others that I've used.

There is a grate that sits about an inch above the bottom of the box. He had room to still swim around and I didn't feel too guilty. Worked well, water and air flow is minimum due to slots being very thin. I put three pregnant females in the box immediately. I currently have about 30 or so new babies in it. The Petzilla and Lee's make observations easier. Apparently my purple Betta, Dragonfruit, did not get the memo.

He's happy just sitting on his plant blowing bubbles. I put three pregnant females in the box immediately. I didn't have the space for an external one. I own 7 of these isolation, breeding tanks. Fits nicely in a size 10 gallon tank. I actually put it in my 10 gallon baby fry tank. Breeder nets are available in many sizes including larger than both boxes.

The suction cups hold well, and it has floating handle chambers as a backup. I got the medium and it's mostly the width of a 10 gallon tank. 5 gallon, but he was struggling to swim. I feel like this breeder box is sturdier than some others that I've used. I have noticed that with all they pieces in that food does not exit the bottom half. I also like to put in a bowl with acclimating. That's why I took time to come back.

With everything out the tank seems to stay really clean. I highly recommend this product, simple and easy to use! The tube for the bubbler is a nice touch. I never knew how important this was until tank cleaning time! Not as sturdy as I thought but perfect for what I wanted. It's a decent size for an internal breeder box. Fits nicely in a size 10 gallon tank.

She doesn't seem very stressed, honestly, and likes to nap in the V's. They seemed scared at first but calmed down after about 30 minutes. Lets in just enough new water to keep it clean, but not too much to have a current. I will update after the babies are born but so far this is great. It is large enough for fish bigger than guppies. They are impossible to reach once it it attached. This product is excellent, works fabulously.

This keeps her area better airated and actually helps flow the babies out. I never knew how important this was until tank cleaning time! The dividers only work with the fry drop in place. You have to be really careful with shrimp or they die. I own 7 of these isolation, breeding tanks. We have 12 babies swimming around in our tank at the moment. Guppy fry didn't escape and they look happy.

I'm using it as a nursery for baby guppies. The Petzilla and Lee's make observations easier. One of them does not because you're supposed to add some sort of water rain bar. Lets in just enough new water to keep it clean, but not too much to have a current. Not sure why some people are complaining the the separating tray floats. The lid doesn't lock in place too snugly which make it easy to open. The suction cups were adequate and held the breeder on to the glass fairly well.

It would have been nice to have the suction cups. With the fry drop in you have plenty of room for temporarily keeping the females. I'll put the bag from the pet shop in it and cut it open. This keeps her area better airated and actually helps flow the babies out. I usually wait to write reviews but I am already impressed with this breeding box. Mine's been doing fine and very useful. You have to be really careful with shrimp or they die.

Guppy fry didn't escape and they look happy. Hope you found this review helpful! That's why I took time to come back. As with many plastics, if it isn't thick enough, then it can break. They seemed scared at first but calmed down after about 30 minutes. They are now all back together, living as peaceably as fish can. It's plastic but I have used it for several months and it’s help up well.
