I’m still a bit of a mess physically, but Thursday’s pool workout was suspiciously good. I swam the whole thing, made all the intervals (although I was cheating a bit and wearing some new fins that I’m testing out), and was “good” sore afterwards.

It’s a little sad that I’m this excited about a 2600 yard workout, but with the way things have been going I’ll take it!

I have some fun stuff coming up shortly… Saturday morning I’m going to volunteer with a local group called AmpSurf as an in water helper. They do surf clinics for amputees and their biggest demographic is veterans. I’ve never been to one of their events before so I’m excited to check it out. After that I’m heading south for another Catalina swim. This time it’s my friend Amanda taking the plunge and I’m coming along to help and pace swim. Should be fun!
