I was in for just a quick swim tonight. I got in to SLO around 6:30 for an LCM swim. They move the bulkhead at about 6:30 on Fridays so I had a little while to chill out. I opted for a trip to the hot tub while they worked on that. I like the hot tub :)

Anyways about 15/20 minutes later I had to transition to the real pool. My buddy that was a maybe to swim with me had to bail, but his excuse was excellent so that’s ok. I had a lane to myself and wasn’t looking to go too far tonight. I just wish I would have had the foresight to charge my SwiMP3 during the day so I would have had some music for the swim. It’s plugged in right now so my next solo swim won’t be so silent!

300 swim
200 kick
100 pull

8 x 50 kick w/ fins

1 x 300 easy
2 x 200 medium
3 x 100 fast

100 cruise

2100 meters total

This was pretty much just a cruise through it sort of swim save a couple fast 100′s. I wanted to focus a little on how I was swimming. Since I swim without a coach on deck most of the time it’s on me to make sure my stroke is roughly where it should be.

Not sure that I’ll be in a pool tomorrow, but I will be on the water. I’ll be up the road a little ways in Morro Bay for some Standup Paddleboarding in the morning, it should be fun! If the waves are big like they were on Thursday I might even go bodysurfing at some point too.
