There were only 4 of us swimming today, but we really made this one count! The warm up was pretty stock and then we did a short IM set just to get our hearts pumping. And then Mike dropped a motivatory bomb on us… 10 x 200! Boom! I know I need this kind of stuff, but I suck at it. Something about that distance just kills me. 150′s I like, but a 200 is a step too far. I managed to hang on through the first 7 but I had issues with the intervals after that. I skipped a 50 in there some where but made it up at the end of the workout before I left.

Since I have to go into work on Saturday this week I took today off which was nice. I didn’t have to rush straight back to my office after my swim and could actually take the time to chew my lunch. It was pretty glamorous. But even though I wasn’t working I still managed to spend almost all day behind a keyboard. Oh well. Tomorrow I’ll be back to work and I’m not sure if/where I’ll be swimming. We’ll see what happens.

    It’s a decent little facility, I like it!

    I can count the number of times I’ve been on the blocks on one hand. They’re only up sometimes and it depends on which lifeguard is there and what we’re doing in the pool that day as to whether I actually get to use them.
