Swam in Santa Maria this afternoon hoping to shake off the soreness from last night’s ocean swim. No such luck. My shoulders are pretty sore. I’ll be fine by the time my meet gets here, but in the meantime… ouch! I was the first guy in the water and I was joined by like 4 or 5 others as time went on. Once a few of the other guys got warmed up I talked two of them into a sprint 50. I needed to go real fast at least once today! I swam about a 27 (from a push in a drag suit), one guy was just barely behind me and our third came in at about 29 which is pretty good considering he’s still coming back from some broken ribs! After this I floated in and out through their workout. I did some sprint 25′s, slower 100′s, and just tried to get comfortable.

200 swim
200 kick
200 pull

6 x 50 alt stroke and free by 50 (fly and breast)

50 all out sprint

3 x 100 easy

8 x 25 fast (fly, free, breast, free)

2 x 100 easy

1650 yards total

I’m flying to LAX after work, rocking a red eye to Chicago and then a quick shot to Milwaukee. Hoping to squeeze in a swim, a Brewers game and maybe even a trip to the Milwaukee Art Museum on Friday. Saturday and Sunday I’ll be at the Wisconsin Masters State Meet, if you see me say hi!

Did you see the heat sheets, you and Mike are in adjacent lanes for a bunch of events! You probably couldn’t have done that if you tried.
