Today was another fantastically sunny day for a swim! There were about 6 of us in the pool doing the workout today, and it turned out to be a pretty long one… well at least as close to distance freestyle as we get anyways. We managed about 3400 yards in our hour which included 5 minutes wasted on deck wondering who was going to get in first (me!) and another 5 minutes in the water coming up with a workout while mercilessly making fun of each other for various reasons… me, I was getting picked on for today’s Facebook status…

Say whatever you want, that was an awesome dream! Some of the other kids enjoyed the idea but had a hard time imagining it so I went ahead and sketched it out to help those of you that can’t quite put it together visually….

Anyways, here’s today’s workout:

200 swim
200 kick
200 pull

300 free
2 x 250 free
3 x 200 free
4 x 150 free
5 x 100 free
5 x 50 free

3400 yards total

Tonight I have a board meeting for SPMA to attend to, should be good. We’ve been getting stuff done and it’s time to figure out what’s next. As always, if you’re a Masters Swimmer in SoCal with ideas on how to make our LMSC better I’m all ears! Just shoot me an email and let me know what you’re thinking.

That’s Ok. I was kept in bed for an extra hour while writing today’s blog entry in my head. That is normal too, right?

You look RIPPED in your dream too. I dream like that too. :)

Gabriela – totally normal! I do a lot of composing while swimming to take my mind off the part where all that hard swimming hurts… may also explain why I have a hard time counting anything over 100 yards!

Glenn – so what are you trying to say buddy? I’m not ripped in real life? :p

Ha ha ha, I thought I was alone in that too! I can never get pass 300, especially in 25-yard pools! That’s when I’m solving the world problems!
