Work got in the way of my usual Tuesday lunchtime swim in Santa Maria so I had to go do my own thing tonight instead. It sort of feels like the old days when I did all my swims solo late at night. I’ve gotten a lot better at going longer distances by myself and it’s cool to swim solo sometimes, but I still really like working out with at least one other person when possible. Also… sunshine… I like sunshine. In theory I should be back to normal on Thursday and get my vitamin D fix.

Tonights workout was simple but effective:

repeat x 3
500 free
200 kick
200 pull
200 kick

3300 meters total

As you may have noticed I’m still messing with my new waterproof camera and today I tried it out in the dark. The pictures are screen captures from some video I took. The video is ok, but it’s really grainy. Still not bad for an extremely low light situation.

In other news… there’s a new cool feature in Go The Distance. You can enter your goal time for the year and it will let you know how you’re doing in relation to that goal each time you add a new workout! I’m aiming for 365 miles and I’m all ready up to about 45, hopefully I can keep this pace up!

Thanks! I have a crush on my waterproof camera… it's my favorite toy of the moment :)

Keep an eye on the GTD page… they keep adding cool new stuff. The goal progress bar is only about a day or two old best I can tell.
