It took me a couple days to get that 10k workout from Saturday out of my system, but I felt really good in the pool today. A lot of the stuff we do in Santa Maria is shorter in distance than what I’ve been doing in SLO, but it’s a lot more intense. I was doing some huffing and puffing at the end of this one today!

Oddly today I had a mild breaststroke epiphany. I’m by no stretch of the imagination a b-stroker… it’s never been my thing. But I’ve been watching some stuff on GoSwim and their iPhone app and did some experimenting with my hands. I’m still not totally sure what exactly I did but it felt fast. I’m trying to speed up throwing my hands forward so I can get more out of the glide from my kick. We’ll see if it pans out… I’m doing the 50 breast in Vegas on the 23rd!
