I crashed out around 9pm last night (whoo party animal!) and didn’t wake up until around 10:30 this morning so I kinda missed out on my regular open water swim. I still really wanted to swim today just as an active recovery type of thing from the big swim on Saturday. I got to Kennedy around 2 and swam with a few of the people that were there. I started out feeling pretty good but my left shoulder started grinding about half way through my workout. I still managed to get in 2400 meters.

2 x 200 swim
200 kick

5 x 100 drill, swim, build, swim by 25

500 swim
300 kick with fins
500 swim with fins

2400 meters total

After my swim I decided to go hit the beach for a while. I figured I should at least visit the ocean if I wasn’t going to swim in it today! It was a gorgeous day in Pismo and warm enough that I didn’t need a sweatshirt or anything. I walked out in the water and took a bunch of pictures with my iPhone… for all of you stuck under a few feet of snow here’s a quick mental vacation for you :)

Maybe I should post some pictures of snow, cold and bitter cold if you are getting bored with the warm weather?

You could always post shots of piles of snow outside your pool and post-workout frozen hair just to let us all know how much more hardcore you Mainers are than us Californian swimmers :)

Thanks for the photos … it's warming up here … almost 30! The weather is just teasing us before it gets really cold again.

The entire world would stop here if it got down to 30 degrees! One of my friends just got back from Wyoming… her first day home was 80 warmer than what she was dealing with out there!
