I crashed out around 9pm last night (whoo party animal!) and didn’t wake up until around 10:30 this morning so I kinda missed out on my regular open water swim. I still really wanted to swim today just as an active recovery type of thing from the big swim on Saturday. I got to Kennedy around 2 and swam with a few of the people that were there. I started out feeling pretty good but my left shoulder started grinding about half way through my workout. I still managed to get in 2400 meters.

5 x 100 drill, swim, build, swim by 25
300 kick with fins
500 swim with fins
2400 meters total
After my swim I decided to go hit the beach for a while. I figured I should at least visit the ocean if I wasn’t going to swim in it today! It was a gorgeous day in Pismo and warm enough that I didn’t need a sweatshirt or anything. I walked out in the water and took a bunch of pictures with my iPhone… for all of you stuck under a few feet of snow here’s a quick mental vacation for you :)
