There was a fatal shark attack at this beach in 2003 so we try to be reasonably cautious. We also look for lots of birds, seals, etc. in our path. If there's too much wildlife we pass on swimming.<br /><br />The people I swim with go out all year long so I should have posts and pictures all winter to keep you going! Is that how you Californians judge weather to swim or not to swim? open water season is over here in Maine until mid-June. At the warmest this summer we got up to 70 ocean temp! and who's saying global warming is not occuring? <br /><br />Well I'm jealous you are still out there.
