More importantly than that she has a lot of swimmers (national champions and brand new swimmers) that are getting fitter, faster, and reaching their goals in the pool and open water with her help. There she was a national champion and an Olympic Trials swimmer. Coach Nancy Reno swam under the great USA Olympic Coach George Haines for years at Santa Clara Swim Club. There she was a national champion and an Olympic Trials swimmer. A great backstroker and an excellent stroke technician in all 3 other strokes as well.

She is a UCLA alumni, Peter Daland's swimmer/coach, and grew her own masters swim team to 300 in less than 3 years.

And now, she is the 2009 US Masters Swim Coach of the Year.
