That’s music to my ears! At the end of practice, where I kept right on top one of the guys I normally can’t hang with, I heard “Crap, Rob’s getting fast… I don’t like it, but I don’t hate it either.” Totally made my day :) I’ve been trying really hard to catch up to this guy and I’m almost there.

Our main set was pretty hard today, it was four rounds of a 100/75/50 each on 1:15. I swam about 1:08-1:12 on the 100′s which I’m pretty happy with. I don’t think I could have done one more repeat though, my right quad was just about to cramp and shut down if I did another lap. I really need to find a way to work out more often in Santa Maria, it’s been very good to me so far.

    Thanks! I think the whole surpassing thing is still a ways out, but it is nice to be able to hang with someone who has been smoking me pretty consistently the last few months.

    Glenn – I'm crediting some of my improvements to you! I made some changes to my stroke after watching your Freestyle w/ Lezak video a few times and it's been working out really well for me.
