Quick reminder, the Naples Island swim is on Sunday the 16th in Long Beach. You can choose a 1 or 3 mile swim and this is a very accessible swim for the open water rookie. If you’re open water curious and in SoCal this is the swim to get started with. There’s still time to sign up online and you can even register race day on the beach. You can get all the details at NaplesIslandSwim.com.

I’m leaving town for Thousand Oaks super early Saturday morning to do a swim with the Conejo Simi Masters and then I’ll be out at the beach bright and early for the Naples Island Swim on Sunday. As usual I’ll keep my twitter account updated, and I’ll have pictures and a wrap up of the swim up sometime Sunday night once I get all the way home.

    Ha Ha!
I realized this morning that the circle appearing to wind thru the houses is actually a channel of water – and we swam it as the race course!

LOVED seeing new world record holder Jessica Hardy paddling for buddy Dawn Heckman (who finished a close 2nd to the first male) and then hung around with the swimmers afterwards!

What a fun race! I sure didn't think the water was all that bad either.

Nice new pink hat photo loaded on FB!
Great show by Conejo Simi Aquatics!
