I’ve been kind of wrapped up in life the last couple of days… work has been super busy, it looks like I just put together a mortgage approval so I can try and scoop up a house during the local real estate market’s moment of weakness, and today just so happens to be my birthday… In the midst of all of this I’ve managed to sneak off to Santa Maria the last 2 days to workout. Despite all the distractions I have going on in my regular life, I think this is going to end up a good swimming week for me. I had a decent swim by myself Monday night, a group swim on Wednesday and Thursday, I’m planning on dropping in and swimming with Ahelee (who happens to be the Nadadores newest masters coach!!!) in Mission Viejo on Saturday, and then I’m racing in Mission Viejo on Sunday. If you want to go to the Mission Viejo LCM meet you can still deck enter, but pre-entries closed yesterday.

Here’s what I’ve swam the last 2 days:

Wednesday –
4 x 50 kick
4 x 50 drill swim
4 x 50 kick
4 x 50 drill swim
4 x 50 swim

12 x 25 (1-4 fly, 5-8 free, 9-10 fly, breast, free)

2 x 500 free

2200 yards total

Thursday-
missed the beginning of workout…
3 x 100 free

100 kick
100 pull
3 x 100 free

100 kick
100 pull
3 x 100 free

4 x 75 fly drill/fly/free by 25′s

5 x 200 free

2600 yards total

My arms and shoulders were really tight today and I got beat up pretty bad on the 200′s by the other kids… it was actually supposed to be 6 200′s but I kind of misplaced one of them, oops.

Tomorrow I’m at work all day and then I’m going to make my way to Orange County. I’m staying down there all weekend as a mini-vacation and blaming it on my birthday. I’m going to stay at my favorite Courtyard Marriott in Irvine that I stay at all the time. It has a sweet pool deck with fancy places to hang out and be lazy.

Happy Birthday! Love the gerbil (not in a Richard Gere way) as the gerbil reminded me of the mouse that was in the pool during December's SPMS SCM Regionals. Anyways have fun this weekend
