Today was my first day out swimming with the Santa Maria lunchtime masters workout group. It was fun to swim with other people and they’re a really friendly group. It’s basically just a loose grouping of swimmers that take over half the pool during lap swim. I had e-mailed Mike down there about getting involved about a month ago but it took me a while to change my schedule around enough to make it happen. I’m thinking I’ll try to get down there at least 2 times a week and keep doing my own thing the rest of the week.
Luckily for me they were doing a really low key workout today. I’m still hurting from nationals and a few of them were there too.

Tomorrow I think I need to wake up early and go the opposite direction so I can swim some long course in SLO. I’m doing the Santa Clarita LCM meet on Sunday and I need to at least do a few 50m laps to reacquaint myself with just how long it is.
