I’m really impressed with the efforts Floswimming put into capturing Masters Nationals. They even made their way out to Lake Millerton to film the 1 mile open water championships. They were there on land and on the water filming us swim. You can find their Millerton Mile coverage page here. Here’s their video of the race…

The Fresno Bee was also out there taking pictures and talking to people. Here a brief excerpt from their article:

One of the swimmers to receive the loudest applause at the awards ceremony was 75-year-old former U.S. Olympian Dave Radcliff.
Radcliff competed in the 1,500-meter swim in the 1956 Melbourne Olympics, finishing 10th.
On Monday, he placed first in his 75-79-year-old age group.
“[Master's swimming] has been a very important part of my retirement,” said the man who has beaten prostate cancer for more than 15 years and survived a heart attack in 1998. “It keeps you healthy, and if you do have problems you’re stronger and healthier and have a chance of fighting them.
“Being healthy and all, I’ve been able to fight through them and I’m swimming now and swimming better than I have for a long time.”
No kidding.
He set four national records for his age group during the USMS national championships that began last Thursday.
