Grrrr… blood pressure. Went to the doctor today to try and get a better handle on my BP. Despite losing weight and being active it is still impressively high so it’s medicine time. Boo. It shouldn’t affect my swimming. I just hate going to doctors, taking pills, and dealing with health insurance stuff. So that’s no fun, plus I’m transitioning to the busiest part of my month on Wednesday. I can’t wait to get to the meet at UCLA so I can blow off some steam and get back into my happy place.

Anyways… back to things I like. I hit the pool kind of late tonight. This extra hour of light is wonderful but it’s still throwing off my ability to tell what time it is. I got in around 8:30 and had the pool all to myself for about 90% of my swim. I felt pretty good on the front half of my workout. Once I got to the end of my butterfly set I was all out of juice. I still finished the distance I prescribed for myself but not at the same intensity I normally would.

I’m really going to make a big effort to get in and swim a lot tomorrow because I’m having my biggest distance month so far this year for Go The Distance. I need to set the bar as high as I can for April! If you haven’t signed up for GTD, you really need to. It’s FREE, and a really good way to track how much you actually swim. I dig it.
