Tonight’s swim was my first since the meet at Cal Tech on Sunday. I tweaked something in my back and I’ve been out of commission for a few days. I’ve been itching to get back in the pool but I was hurting too much to get in a real workout. I’ve had problems with my back for years (I slipped a couple discs when I was in the Army), and every once and a while it goes out and I just need to wait it out.

I felt ok tonight, so I ventured into the pool and I think swimming really helped stretch things out. I did a long warm up, 12 fast 50′s, and then cooled down.

2000 yards total

Hopefully I can get in a more substantial workout tomorrow now that my back seems to be cooperating.
