I don’t know what my problem is today. I just wasn’t excited to be alive. I was really tired and distracted at work and when I went to the pool tonight I just couldn’t get into my workout. I wrote out about 2300 yards and only finished 1400 before I just gave up and went home. I don’t know if I’m getting sick or my allergies are starting to kick in or what. All I do know is that I want this malaise that is all about me to go away quickly! Luckily there is a meet this weekend to respark my swimming enthusiasm. Maybe I’ll mix in a LCM workout in SLO sometime this week too just to do something different. Plus… just in case… I bought some new shoes, that usually helps my mood.

400 free
100 kick
500 free

3 x 100 fly

100 cool down

1400 yards total

Hopefully I break out of this funk tomorrow, if not I may require some more retail therapy.

Very tough to swim on your own my friend… I admire you so much – partly because I cannot do this myself.

Hang in there – keep thinking about your events next weekend. Mission Viejo and CLOVIS.
Also that skinny little 59.9 100 butterflyer!

    I am doing the same.

Thanks for the encouragement… there are days where swimming by yourself just sucks. That’s why I’m glad there are so many swim meets in SoCal for me to go to. I need lots of short term goals to keep me motivated.
