I’ve been conflicted over what to do with this weekend. I have the Pedal to Pier bike ride (that I already paid for btw) and the Rose Bowl swim meet (that I would rather do) on Saturday, and then the UC Irvine SCY meet on Sunday. I finally decided that I would do the bike ride (weather permitting) and then drive down for the Irvine meet. I’ve got my hotel reserved in Irvine and I’m ready to do some swimming!

Ultimately I had to drop Rose Bowl for a bunch of reasons. I already paid for the bike ride, I would have to spend another $100+ on a hotel room in Pasadena, Heidi wouldn’t be able to come with me to LA at all this weekend because she has school Saturday, and it looks like it’s still going to be raining in SOCAL Saturday while it will be fairly dry up here. If nothing else I’m hoping the bike event comes with some cool schwag.

I missed the mail in entry window for the Irvine swim meet so I’m going to have to deck enter. I’m thinking 50 free, 50 fly, 100 fly, 100 IM, and 200 IM but we’ll see what I feel like swimming that morning.

As bummed as I am to have to drop Rose Bowl I did pick up a meet in San Diego the next weekend so I guess it all evens out.

Tonights work out was pretty hard man! I mean, yeah I did it to myself, but yikes dude it hurt! I did an IM pyramid of pain that really kicked my ass.
