So I stepped up my butterflying even more tonight… my calves and triceps are freaking out. When I went to hop out of the pool at the end of my workout both calves seized up on me, not cool considering I had a 5 mile ride on my bike to get home. I got back in the pool floated, stretched and swore into the darkness for a while until I felt ok enough to stand up again. My legs did fine on the ride home but I did take it easy. There was a dicey part where I had to get permission from some Union Pacific guys to scoot through their construction zone so I could get home. They shut down Grand Ave at HWY 1 and if I would have followed the detour it would have added 2 or 3 miles to my ride!

I’ve got one more day to swim before Santa Clarita… I’m going to put in a short swim just to stay loose tomorrow and then hopefully I’m off to beat my current best times!
